Foreclosure on Automobile Mechanic’s Liens

Often a small and independent mechanic or body shop will not get paid for the work they have performed and have to file a mechanic’s lien on that vehicle to get paid. When they do not get paid, they have to then foreclose on that lien. This may require a lawsuit be filed.

Mechanic’s Liens can be foreclosed upon by judicial action. You need to serve with a citation, the title owner, any lien-holders, and the Texas Department of Transportation for the lawsuit to commence.

The goal is to have that car or truck title put in your or your company’s name.
